Yap’s legal practice began from the chambers of Mr. Chan Kean Li. He was made a Partner of the Firm in 2011 and commutes regularly between our Northern Region and Federal Territory offices.
Yap frequently appears in the Firm’s Senior Litigation Team on different aspects of civil litigation and had represented Financial Institutions on matters pertaining to forfeiture of property under Dangerous Drugs Act, Customs Act and Anti– Money Laundering and Anti-Terrorism Financing Act.
He is also actively involved in the corporate and commercial division of the Firm and had attended various Joint Venture Development Projects and Project Financing documentation.
Yap is a member of the panel of Construction Industry Payment and Adjudication Act (CIPAA) 2012 Adjudicators and a Fellow member of the Asian Institute of Alternative Dispute Resolution.
