Kenny is the Senior Partner in charge of both the Northern Region and Federal Territory Office and was called to the Malaysian Bar in 1997. He has a wide -ranging practice with particular emphasis on professional negligence, corporate, commercial, land and construction disputes specializing in Appellate Advocacy in most areas of law where he frequently acts as Lead Counsel.
A number of these cases have been reported in the Malaysian Law Journals where among them involved appearing as Lead Counsel at the Federal Court on the issue of defeasibility of a Charge security over a property due to its Malay Reserve Land Status and representing a Kedah Local Authority at the Appellate Court in a land dispute involving the acquisition and compensation of land.
He has also successfully acted for a major Developer in a lease tenancy contractual dispute involving a foreign corporation and for professional consultants both in a dispute at the Appellate Courts that determined the legal duty of care owed to purchasers of a development and for another at the State Commission Inquiry involving the collapse of a retaining wall at the Granito Project.
His recent cases at the Appellate Courts includes litigation in the fields of construction dispute, Judicial Review on matters pertaining to development relating to land conditions and planning permission approvals and on compliance with the Town and Country Planning Act 1976 and constitutional issues involving Stateless Children applying for Citizenship.
